Your data
Delete your account.
You can close a DriverRuns account yourself, from the app or the website, and you do not have to ask anybody. This page explains how, and exactly what happens to what we hold.
If you can still sign in
In any of our apps — CarRunner, MyHub or PedalRunner — open your account or profile screen, scroll to the bottom and choose Close my account.
On the website — go to your account page and use the same option there.
You will be asked to type the word DELETE to confirm. It happens immediately; there is no waiting period and nothing to wait for.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@driverruns.com from the address on the account, or tell us enough to find it. We will check you are the account holder before deleting anything — we will not erase an account because somebody typed an email address into a form, and neither should anybody else.
What is deleted
Your name, email address, phone number, display name and profile photo. The lists you wrote, the shops you named and your saved addresses. Your notifications, any push registration that could reach your browser, and your holiday and appearance preferences.
If you drove with us: your shopper record and the towns you chose, your bike registration, the connection to your payout account, any license or insurance document you uploaded, and your background check, including the date of birth and license number it was run against. Those are the most sensitive things we hold and they go with the rest.
Card details were never held by us at any point — they live with Stripe, and we only ever had a token pointing at them.
What is kept, and why
If you have never had an order or a run, the account and everything attached to it is deleted outright and nothing remains.
If you have, the record that a payment happened has to survive — tax law and the card networks both require it, and a dispute can be raised months after a delivery. In that case the account is anonymised instead of erased: the run, the amount and the receipt stay, and your name, email, phone number and address are removed from them. Nobody reading those records afterwards can tell they were yours. Stripe holds its own payment records under its own retention rules, and a driver’s signed contractor agreement and earnings history are kept for the same legal reasons.
The app tells you which of the two happened, in that moment, rather than making you guess.
